
Clémence Comte
After studying recorder in France
Clémence Comte continued her
studies with Baldrick Deerenberg, Heiko ter Schegget and Marion Verbruggen at
the Utrecht Conservatory, gaining her soloist’s diploma in 1994. She also
studied musicology at the University of Lyon. Clémence Comte has performed with
various chamber music ensembles in numerous concert series and prestigious
festivals throughout Europe, receiving various national and international awards
and distinctions with them. She also gives solo recitals and performs with
various Baroque orchestras. Since 2003 she teaches recorder and is head of the
early music department at the Conservatoire National de Région de Besançon; she
also teaches on the faculty of musicology of the University of Franche-Comté.
